






Preparations for the 5th National Sports Festival in Nay Pyi Taw are in full swing. On Friday, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, along with Union Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan and other relevant officials, attended rehearsal session to encourage the students who will take part in the festival's opening ceremony.
The session began with a diverse dance rehearsal of more than 300 students, accompanied by song performances. Afterwards, the Union Minister stated that there is only about a month remaining until the National Sports Festival. He emphasized a key role of the students' dance performance in both the opening and closing of the event.
The Union Minister also highlighted the festival's national importance and praised the students' efforts, noting that their music performance symbolizes youth cooperation and creativity. He urged that their education and health remain a priority and encouraged a disciplined, nationalistic spirit for the successful celebration of the event.
And, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan urged students to take pride in participating in the event and assured full support from the Ministry. After the speech, Union Ministers U Maung Maung Ohn and U Min Thein Zan provided cash assistance and offered words of encouragement to the dance instructors, teachers and students from basic education high schools and Fine Arts departments.
The 5th National Sports Festival will feature ministry-level games, as well as state and regional-level sports, including Paralympic events. Preparations, along with entertainment programs, are being made in advance to ensure the successful execution of these national-level events and to inspire public enthusiasm for the celebrations.
