Transport Facilities: Progress of repairing damaged roads and bridges

A progress report on the repair works of roads and bridges, damaged by the natural disaster in Shan State was presented on Thursday. Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant attended the event, held at the Road Department, together with Chief Minister U Aung Aung. Officials provided update reports on the damaged roads and bridges, current repair works and future plans.

The Union Minister and the Chief Minister instructed for speedy restoration to normalcy, along with the plans for prevention measures. They also stressed for long term sustainability of the transport facilities, and called for close supervision by the concerned officials. They urged officials to carry out the tasks in timely manner, adhering to the rules and regulations.
