


India is hosting the First Asian Buddhist summit 'Buddha Dhamma' taking forward it's Act East Policy, which is principled on collective, inclusive and spiritual development of Asia. The Summit is being held by the Indian government in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation on November 5th to 6th to celebrate the rich heritage of Buddhism.
The theme of the Summit is ‘Role of Buddha Dhamma in Strengthening Asia’. India’s President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the summit and highlighted the unique position Buddhism holds in the spiritual and cultural history of India and Asia. A special logo of the Asian Buddhists summit was also released, along with a special exhibition on the theme ‘India as the Dhamma Setu’ or the Bridge connecting Asia.
