



The opening ceremony of awareness training on Gender/CEDAW/NSPAW/AGMSF/ UNSCR 1325 organized by Social Welfare Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement was held at the Ministry on 6th November with the attendance of Union Minister Dr. Soe Win.
In his address at the event, the Union Minister said that this training is important as it’s the work process for the protection and development of the women. The capacity enhancement of the women is addressing to implement as the women in the country is over half of the entire population and vital human resource.
The training is also aiming at having knowledge on the process of Gender/CEDAW/NSPAW/AGMSF/ UNSCR 1325 participated by the country and the work process of the Department.The trainees are encouraged to participate in the discussion actively and apply the knowledge and experiences gained from the training in the practical workplace.
After introducing by the trainees themselves, the clarification of lessons of the trainings and the session of cross question were carried out. The training will take place for two days, it’s reported.
