Meeting in Hpa-An: SAC members meet with ethnic communities in Hpa-An

Members of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung and Khun San Lwin along with Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo and officials on Wednesday met with Ethnic Armed Organizations, political parties, Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations, townselders, departmental officials and locals in Hpa-An of Kayin State.

During the meeting, the SAC members explained the efforts of the State Administration Council for implementations of peace and stability of the country and recent situations of the state. They also highlighted the damages and sufferings due to armed conflicts and called for collective participation of all citizen and ethnic people in anti-terrorist activities and development of health, education and human resource development.

The discussions were also made on flourishing traditional cultural heritage including dialect, literature and culture of ethnic people, implementations on state development, health, education and agriculture sectors as well as peace making process.

After hearing the reports by the attendees, the SAC members, Union Minister, Chief Minister and officials made explanation. It was followed by provision of cash assistance to Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations. Then, the SAC members and party cordially greeted local ethnic people and made encouragement.
