Capacity Building Training: Human resource development for e-Government

For the development of human resource which plays pivotal role in practicing e-Government working processes, Kachin State government is conducting training courses on Information and Communications Technology ICT.

On November 6th, the opening ceremony of Basic and Advance Training Course to assist e-Government process took place at the hall of the State Government Office with the attendance of the Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister in his capacity as Patron of Kachin State e-Government Leading Committee called for cooperative efforts of all concerned departments in promoting e-Government working processes within the state.

He added that sucessful implementation of office procedures with e-Government system promotes human resource development. The trainees are urged to learn basic application of technologies. It was followed by clarification of curriculum subjects to be given during the training period by Pro-rector of the University of Computer Studies Dr. Than Naing Soe.

Kachin State Government is conducting training courses to assist e-Government processes, and 80 trainees from 40 departments attended the 1st batch of the training.  At present, a 3-week Basic and Advance Training Course is being conducted at the University of Computer Studies with 77 trainees from related departments. Likewise, Kachin State e-Government Leading Committee established Data Center and implementations are underway for network operation.
