Chinese Premier meets Serbian Prime Minister in Shanghai

Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic in Shanghai on Tuesday. Vucevic is in the Chinese city to attend the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) that opened on the same day.

China is willing to work with Serbia to further implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen political trust, foster closer unity and collaboration, strengthen the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and the “Leap into the Future – Serbia 2027” plan, and advance the two countries’ cooperation in various fields to a new level so as to promote the high-quality development of China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era, Li said.

Vucevic reaffirmed Serbia’s commitment to the one-China principle, and expressed the wish to strengthen high-level exchanges with China.
