





Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Mr. Wang Ning, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Party Secretary of Yunnan Province at Haigeng Hotel in Kunming City on November 5.
First, Mr. Wang Ning warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and the delegation, followed by a commemorative group photo. During the discussions, Mr. Wang extended a warm welcome to the Myanmar delegation on behalf of Yunnan Province.
He provided updates on Yunnan’s development and economic progress, as well as the diplomatic and economic cooperation between Yunnan Province of China and Myanmar. Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended by Yunnan Province.
He noted that Myanmar and China will soon mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, highlighting the strong, enduring ties between the two neighboring countries. He emphasized that Myanmar and Yunnan Province share inseparable relations and have a history of close cooperation. He also underscored the importance of maintaining stability and peace in the border areas to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
Further discussions explored opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between Myanmar and Yunnan Province, especially in the fields of investment, trade, and energy production. They also discussed ways to collaborate on maintaining peace and stability in the border regions.
Additionally, both sides openly exchanged views on human resource development and training. The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary of the State Administration Council General Ye Win Oo, high-ranking officials from Myanmar, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, members of the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee, and other dignitaries. Following the meeting, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts.
After that , the SAC Chairman, Prime Minister, and members of the delegation joined a dinner hosted by a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Party Secretary of Yunnan Province.
