Opening of sewing training: MGY Region CM gave an opening speech

With the aims at providing job opportunities and increase household income for rural population, Magway Region Department of Small-Scale Industries held an opening ceremony of sewing training course inauguration ceremony today, November 5th, in the morning at its training hall, to launch a sewing training course on Tuesday with the attendance of Magway RegionChief Minister U Tint Lwin, along with region ministers, departmental officials.

At the ceremony, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin gave a speech stating that the Department of Small-Scale Industries is working to support rural population by providing technical assistance, offering vocational training courses, registering businesses, conducting lab tests, and carrying out research and renovation.

He encouraged trainees to practice the sewing techniques taught in the course, advancing from basic to more advanced sewing skills and design studies. He also mentioned that, upon course completion, the department will present sewing machines to three outstanding trainees and assist them in registering their businesses.

Following this, Director Daw Su Su Khaing of the Department of Small Small-Scale Industries provided a briefing on the training arrangements and instructors and trainees introduced themselves.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials toured the training facility, reviewing the materials to be used in the training. It was noted that the course, which includes both theory and practical lessons, will be conducted for one month by two instructors for a group of 20 trainees, from November 5 to December 4.
