Drug Seizure: Over 2.23 billion kyat worth narcotic drugs seized in Tachileik

Over 2.23 billion kyat worth narcotic drugs have been seized in Tachileik Township, according to the report of Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, comprised with the members of Anti-drug Unit, on November 1st searched the house of Sai Kyaing @ Ye Lan in Yay Pu San Village and discovered over 4 million stimulant tablets, 202 Kilos of ICE (Methamphetamine), and other chemicals.

Three suspects were arrested along with the seizure of drugs and a vehicle. The investigation revealed that the seized drugs are supposed to make a deal at the border. The case has been filled a lawsuit in line with the law and their properties will be seized as public finance as per the Anti- Money Laundering Law.
