Traditional Medicines: Leading Committee meeting for 23rd Conference

Leading Committee for Organizing 23rd Myanmar Traditional Practitioners Conference and Seminar held its coordination meeting at the Ministry of Health in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

Patron of the Leading Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the meeting and made a speech. The Vice Senior General said the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Practitioners Conference and Seminar aims to recognize the quality teaching of traditional medicine, to develop the role of traditional medicine along with quality production, to turn out qualified traditional practitioners and to cherish the heritage of traditional medicines.

He called for cooperation of all concerned persons for successful holding of the conference. He also stressed the needs to make systematic record to handing down to the new generation. He also emphasized to manufacture the medicines, discussed during the conference, for public consumption, along with the copyright registration.

The Vice Senior General also urged to strive for penetration of Myanmar potent medicines to the international market. The meeting discussed the work undertakings by respective sub-committees, and arrangements for successful holding of the conference. The meeting ended with closing remarks by the Vice Senior General.
