Agriculture and Livestock: Efforts for development of food sufficiency

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi visited Bago Region on November 3rd and met with business owners to discuss for food safety measures. He also discussed matters on implementation of foodstuff production in line with the standard operating procedures, precaution measures to prevent infectious diseases, personal hygiene and capacity building.

The Deputy Minister later proceeded to the dairy cow farm and oversaw the production process of dairy products. The Deputy Minister also inspected Hatchery under the Fisheries Department and discussed for boosting production, creating more job opportunities and technical support.

In meeting with officials, the Deputy Minister instructed the priorities for successful implementation of agriculture and livestock industry. He then inspected the production process of fishery products, following the set standards.
