









Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung visited Pha Ei Village in Mongsat on 3rd November and inspected the progress of repairing damaged towers along 66KV Mongkhoat-Mongsat Power Line.
Due to the natural disaster, new towers have to be built along the section of o.8 mile long power line, and it is targeted to complete during first week of November. The Chief Minister and party later inspected the reconstruction of 70 ft long Bailey Bridge on Kengtung-Mongsat Road and damaged road sections.
In Tachileik, the Chief Minister attended a cash donation ceremony for the rehabilitation works. Due to the disaster, 104 houses were damaged in Tachileik Township, and over 224 million kyat cash assistance were provided to the affected households.
Moreover, over 197 million kyat were provided for the damaged plantations. Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the clearing of silt and debris, construction of the retaining wall, inundation of the District Immigration Office and tar paving of road.
On arrival at Naga Hna Kaung Monastery, the Chief Minister donated offertories to the Sayadaw, and viewed the site to display the regalia, medals and historic utensils of the Late Naga Hna Kaung Sayadaw. They then visited the Tachileik San Sai Basic Education High School and coordinated the needs.
