Damaged monsoon paddy plantations have been replanted in Lewe Township. On Saturday, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council U Myint Soe visited Alae Kyun and Inn Pin Village-tracts to oversee the recultivation of monsoon paddy and provide agricultural inputs.

The Council member also addressed the needs for supply of irrigated water, clearing debris in the feeder canals in the catchment area and preparation for winter crop cultivation.

Due to the recent flood, over 1,250 acres farmland were inundated in Alae Kyun Village-tract, and 136 acres of monsoon paddy have already been replanted. Plans are underway to replant over 1,100 acres of beans and pulses. In Inn Pin Village-tract, 205 acres monsoon paddy plantations were inundated, and all affected farmlands have already replanted.
