Tourism Development: Work Committee meeting for development of tourism

Tourism Work Committee held its meeting at the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism on Thursday. Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khaing in her capacity as the Vice Chairperson of the Central Committee on National Tourism Development and Chairperson of the Work Committee attended the meeting and made a speech.

The Union Minister called for cooperation of all stakeholders for systematic development of tour destinations. She stressed the need to carry out tourism promotion packages with the inclusion of local products and cuisines.

She also outlined to draft the Annual Event Calendar to attract more tourists from home and abroad. The meeting discussed the work implementations for development of tourism industry, granting licenses for hoteliers and tour operators, arrival condition of tourists, development of tour destinations and market promotion.

The meeting also discussed for sustainability of tour destinations, attracting more tourists, promoting tourism market, human resource development and infrastructure improvement.
