The ceremony of awarding prizes of honor to the winners of the 25thSilver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition (National Level) took at the meeting hall of the Tanintharyi Region Government office in Dawei on 25th October.
During the ceremony, the Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, gave words of honor saying that the Tanintharyi Region had won a total of 24 awards and ranked ninth among the regions and states, which was a point of pride for the region. He encouraged participants to aim for even greater achievements in the 26th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition, expressing hope for more participants and further success in future competitions.
Following this, U Aung Kyaw Kyaw Oo, a member of the Victory Committee, presented a report on preparations and the conditions of the competition. He then handed over the Honor Award Shield won in the traditional Dawei ethnic dance competition to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister, along with the Chief Judge of the Region High Court and other officials, proceeded to present awards to the winners of the national level competition with 200,000 kyats for first prize winners, 150,000 kyats for second prize winners, 100,000 kyats third prize winners and 75,000 kyats for consolation prize winners. Additionally, the Dawei traditional dance group was awarded an honorary amount of 200,000 kyats, while local business entrepreneurs from Dawei presented a total of 5 million kyats to the participants. In the competition. Pathein U Tun Tun Naing, leader of the Dawei traditional dance troupe, expressed gratitude on behalf of the contestants.
