Evaluation Process: Review meeting on annual performance and budget

The Ministry of Education held a review meeting on Annual Performance and Budget at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Union Minister Dr. Nyunt Pe, Deputy Ministers, Directors General and many other concerned officials. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that the performance and budget reviews of the ministry must be conducted annually in implementing National Education Strategic Plan which has been implemented for almost 4 years.

He also stressed the needs for reviewing effective utilization of budget allocation to reach the targeted goal.  He added that the Ministry is focusing on advancing education in basic education sector, skill enhancing in research and innovation in higher education sector and constant learning for lifelong learnign program.

The Union Minister also said that based on the results of workshops, adopting and reporting of Annual Planning and Budget Cycle, Annual Performance Review and Departmental Monitoring and Evaluation Plan are needed to be made according to the departments.

Officials from departments and divisions under the Ministry and Naypyitaw State Academy are urged to try hard in implementing related working processes. In 2025-2026 Fiscal Year, Mid-Term Review of National Education Strategic Plan 2021-2030 is targeted to implemented.

The objectives from Education Conference 2024 are needed to implement through the working processes of National Education Strategic Plan 2021-2030. This was followed by a report on the aims of conducting workshop and its outcomes. It is learnt that the workshop will be held till October 25th.
