1st work coordination meeting: SAC Vice Chairman attended and delivered a speech

The first work coordination meeting of 2025 77th Independence Day Organizing Central Committee was held at the office of State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw and the Chairman of Central Committee SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended and delivered a speech.

In his speech, the SAC Vice Chairman stated that the 77th Independence Day ceremony will be grandly celebrated at the national level. He emphasized that this year's 77th Independence Day ceremony will focus on five national objectives: Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of the national solidarity and perpetuation of sovereignty and stability by addressing armed conflicts and differences of opinion in accordance with the law, fostering national unity to protect and safeguard the country with a strong Union spirit, and establishing a true and disciplined democratic system, a fair, dignified general election to be held, with the goal of fostering balanced development across the entire Union through the collective efforts of all citizens.

 The event will be held with determination, perseverance and unity under the theme "Moving Forward to Our Goal," to strengthen political, economic, defense, and national integrity, and to elevate national pride and spirit.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the nation has struggled for years to secure the rights to independence and sovereignty, and thus everyone must work together to ensure that these hard-won freedoms are not lost. He also noted that while it took years of effort to achieve independence, it can be lost in just a day or even a morning, as seen in the experiences of other nations.

He outlined that the Prime Minister has chosen key principles to ensure the protection of independence, focusing on the importance of unity and solidarity among the people. To prevent the loss of sovereignty, it is essential to safeguard independence through unity and collective strength, since the country is located between powerful nations and consists of over a hundred different ethnic groups, there are efforts by some to divide and make it a nation without freedom or sovereignty.

Next, the Chairmen and responsible officials of the relevant sub committees clarified the tasks to be implemented to hold the 77th Independence Day successfully.After addressing the requirements upon the clarifications, the Central Committee Chairman SAC Vice Chairman delivered a speech of conclusion.
