Naval Visit: Russian Pacific Fleet docks at Thilawa Port

On Sunday, the Russian corvettes Gromky,Rezky and Tsydenzhapov, accompanied by the sea tanker Pechenga, arrived at Yangon’s Thilawa Port on Sunday.

They were warmly welcomed by senior military officers and Tatmadaw members from Navy Force as well as the Russian military attaché and other concerned officials. Leading this contingent of warships is Captain 1st Rank Antsiferov Alexey Vitalievich of the Russian Pacific Fleet, accompanied by various officers and other ranks.

During their stay, they will explore renowned sites in Yangon, engage in friendly sports competitions between the two nations and conduct harbor phase exercises and second Myanmar-Russia maritime security joint exercises. This visit not only symbolizes the strengthening of bilateral ties but also serves as a meaningful gesture of goodwill.
