Sri Lanka India Society marks 78th India’s independence

The Sri Lanka-India Society celebrated India's 78th Independence Day in Colombo, with leaders from both nations emphasizing strong bilateral relations and future trade potential. The Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka attended the event and highlighted the immense potential for future trade relations between India and Sri Lanka.

He also expressed gratitude for India’s generous support during Sri Lanka’s economic crisis. On the occasion, the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka emphasized that the bilateral relations between the two countries have progressed to a point where it is not possible to think of living apart.
