Viet Nam Top Leader hands over appointment to new Ambassadors

Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on Friday also confirmed appointment decisions for new Vietnamese ambassadors including United Nations (UN) for the 2024-2027 tenure.

Noting that each locality has its own specific advantages and challenges, the top leader emphasized that the Party and State’s policies recognize the crucial role of foreign affairs, Vietnam’s international standing is increasingly strengthened, and external affairs are now defined as a vital, regular, and comprehensive task.

The diplomats also affirmed their commitments to prioritizing national interests above all else, integrating the three pillars of Party, State, and people-to-people diplomacy, and linking diplomacy with defense and security.
