Safeguarding Traditions: 5th day of Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition

The 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition continued at the designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw.

On its day 5, contestants showed thier talents in Classical and Moder Song Singing Contests, Dancing Contest and Song Composing Contest. For playing musical instruments, contests staged their skills in Guitar, Violin, Piano and Traditional Orchestra.

In Marrionettee Team Contest, Sagaing Region representing team staged “Vessantara” Drama, while the Yangon Region team performed the Maha Janaka Drama for the Theatrical Drama Contest. Among the audience were members of the State Administration Council, union level officials, departmental personnel and enthusiasts.

During the 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition, contestants for Women and Men Amateur Level (Second Class) have to show thier skills in performing the Prince and Alchemist Figures.

In addition, Maha-Sutasoma Jataka and Samudda Vanija Jataka will be performed for the Dramatic Monologue Contest of Amateur Level (First and Second Classes) contestants respectively.
