






Under the guidance of the Vocational Rehabilitation Committee, the renovation and restoration of 44 flood affected houses in 4 villages within 3 townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area will be carried out with 300 million kyat cash assistance donated by the Chairman of the CB Bank.
As part of the process, the Rural Development Department is carrying out the renovation and restoration works for damaged houses in Aye Myint Tharyar Model Village of Pobbathiri Township.
On 17th October, Chairman of the Committee, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by the concerned officials visited the village to see the work progress and gave instructions on timely completion of the processes meeting set standards. The Union Minister also gave words of encouragement to the local residents.
During the meeting with the local farmers, the Union Minister encouraged the farmers highlighting the efforts of the departmental officials in replanting monsoon paddy and crops plantations.
As the government will provide necessary assistances, the Union Minister called for the concerted efforts of the farmers and departmental officials in acceleration of agriculture, livestock breeding and production businesses.
The Union Minister also stressed on soil testing to learn the changes in soil condition in order to put requisite soil nutrients and fertilizer in growing mung bean.
Subsequently, the Union Minister met with the village cooperative association member farmers and provided mung bean seeds and fertilizer and stressed on systematic growing methods for increasing yield per acre.
