





Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo attended the ceremony of providing cash assistance and relief items held at Mingalar Byuhar Hall in Pyinmana Township on 16th October.
At the event, the Union Minister clarified the Government’s arrangements from every corners for the flood victims to restore their original status as soon as possible depending on the resources of the country and provided financial assistance for 104 houses completely destroyed due to the impacts of Typhoon Yagi with the rate of 2.35 million Kyats per house and meat, fish and bean canned food from the National Disaster Management Fund and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman presented financial assistance for 417 houses partly destroyed with 1.75 million Kyats per house and foodstuff. Then, they cordially greeted the flood affected families.
During the ceremony, under the guidance of the head of State, 974.15 million Kyats for house repairing and constructing and over 540 million Kyats worth foodstuff from the National Disaster Management Fund and the relief items donated by well-wishers from home and abroad were delivered for the flood affected families.
After that, the Union Minister and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman visited Post Primary School in Aye Myit Thaya Village of Pubbathiri Township and inspected the completion of cleaning task, accessibility of drinking water for the students and preparations for the educational activities.
