Chinese carmakers have joined at the Paris Motor Show to promote their latest electric models. The biennial show held on Monday. China’s largest EV manufacturer, BYD, announced the launch of a new electric SUV model, highlighting its performance and green credentials. Other Chinese makers also showcased their new EV models.

French automaker Renault and other Western companies are offering more affordable cars to compete with low-priced Chinese models.  Competition between European and Chinese automakers is expected to intensify as demand for EVs in Europe remains sluggish.
