






The Ministry of Border Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, held the graduation ceremony for the 3rd batch of electrical, welding, motor vehicle repair, and mobile phone repair training courses at the Aung Pan Technical Vocational School for Border Area Ethnic Youths on October 15 at the school's auditorium in Aung Pan Township.
At the ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung remarked that the Ministry of Border Affairs has implemented four key policies, seven objectives, and 18 tasks aimed at the development of ethnic people in border areas. He also highlighted that the ministry is actively working towards the goal of providing ethnic youth with basic education, higher education, and vocational training to improve their future livelihoods. He urged the graduating trainees, who had completed 22 weeks of both theoretical and practical training, to apply the skills they had learned in real-life settings and strive to establish their own businesses. He encouraged them to contribute to the development and progress of their respective regions to the best of their abilities.
Next, the Chief Minister U Aung Aung and State Ministers awarded the certificate of honor and certificate of training completion to the outstanding trainees in electrical, welding, motor vehicle repair, and mobile phone repair training courses.
Then, the principal of the training school clarified the facts about the school, Khun Kyaw Soe on behalf of the training completed trainees expressed words of thanks and documentary group photo was taken.
After that, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the exhibition booths displayed in the hall and practical working of the trainees.
Later, the Chief Minister and party visited the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Taunggyi), oversaw the trainees who are taking camping trainings of weight lifting and swimming, pledged the responsible officials for the provision of requirements and presented cash assistance to the coaches and trainees.
Consequently, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed special lunch together with the trainees in the training course combined sports and education, provided 3 million Kyats of cash assistance, gave words of encouragement and looked round the school library, it’s reported.
