School Libraries Development: Taninthayi Region CM attended the event

Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, along with the Commander of Coastal Region Command, Region Ministers and departmental officials attended an event aimed at the School Libraries Development and Raising Rading Habit organized by Tanintharyi Region Government in collaboration with the Information and Public Relations Department and the Department of Basic Education held at High School No. 1. In Myeik Township on Monday. 

The Chief Minister, along with the Commander, Brigadier General Pyae Sone Lin, and the Region Minister for Economic Affairs, U Maung Gyi, opened the event by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Following this, the Chief Minister and party attended the ceremony at the Pyinnya Beikman hall of the school, enjoyed traditional ethnic dances and artistic performances by the students from Basic Education High Schools and Ka-Zun-Inn private school. The Chief Minister and the Commander also presented awards to the performance groups.

Then, theyobserved the educational book exhibition, various knowledge-sharing booths from basic education schools and the Department of Marine Science of Myeik University.

Later, the Chief Minister and party observed physical and intellectual competitions, where more than 2,000 students participated in activities promoting physical and mental development within the school grounds.

The Chief Minister and party then traveled to Kyunsu Township, where they visited a household in Ward No. 1 as part of the national census effort. The Chief Minister engaged warmly with the census team and local residents, offering words of encouragement and providing instructions to relevant officials regarding any necessary improvements.
