Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo visited Tatkone Township on Sunday to meet with the families who lost houses during the recent floods.

The Council Chairman explained that arrangements have been made for replanting of crops at the inundated farmlands, along with the accelerated efforts for rehabilitation measures for infrastructures. He called for collaborative efforts of all local community in the process.

During the meeting, 521.7 million kyat for 222 destroyed houses were provided as the first batch, with 2.35 million kyat for each house. In addition, foodstuff and household list certificates were also presented to the affected families.

They then visited Magyipin Village to meet with the flood affected community, providing foodstuff and household list certificates. The Council Chairman and party later visited No.124 Basic Education Primary School in Ahsone Zee Kone Village and inspected the repair works and condition of damages.
