





Work Committee for Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win in his capacity as the Committee Chairman attended the meeting and made a speech, stressing the need to strive for boosting production through accelerating the agriculture and livestock sector, while nurturing the qualified human resources. Highlighting the 30% ratio of MSME in the nation’s GDP, he urged all to expedite the implementation of One Region One Product for increased GDP ratio and creating more job opportunities.
At present, efforts are being made for 102 state owned factories and workshops and over 47,000 private factories and workshops, operating in 33 industrial zones and three special economic zones, along with two deep sea ports. He called for collaboration of all concerned persons for development of MSME industry by implementing the tasks with accountability and responsibility.
The attendees provided upgraded update reports on work undertakings for development of MSME industries. In response to the reports, the Vice Senior General coordinated the needs and gave a concluding remark.
