Ministerial Conference on Blue Belt Initiative

Moroccan city hosts the third high-level ministerial conference on the "Blue Belt" initiative.

Under the theme “Building a base to stimulate food and jobs within the framework of the blue economy development approach”, the ministerial conference officially launched the first session of the “Africa Ocean Week”, whose program includes a series of meetings and discussions between the ministers of maritime fisheries and the blue economy and senior officials on the stakes and challenges of the oceans’ contribution to economic growth in the African continent. 

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests in partnership with the World Bank.
