Viet Nam – France upgrade relations to comprehensive strategic partnership

General Secretary and State Presidentof Viet Nam, To Lam held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

During their discussions, both leaders outlined key directions and measures to enhance the partnership further, ensuring its alignment with the new framework between the two countries.

The two leaders agreed to effectively implement existing agreements and organize a Security-Defense Strategic Dialogue in the near future. They also committed to collaborating on training and sharing experiences in crime prevention and control, as well as supporting each other in regional and international security forums.
