Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, along with the Minister for Social Affairs and officials, inspected the construction site of the International Border Entry/Exit Gate and other regional development projects currently being carried out in Kawthaung District, Kawthaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, on 7th October. They also visited the construction site of new courthouse for the Kawthaung District and Township.
First, the Chief Minister and party visited construction site of International Border Entry/Exit Gate, heard the clarification of work implementations by the responsible persons from Naung Yoe Myanmar Development Co., Ltd and gave necessary instructions.
The Chief Minister and officials later proceeded to the new courthouse construction site for Kawthaung District and Township. Representatives from the Naung Yoe Myanmar Development Company Ltd. provided an explanation of the construction process and the project's completion status. The Chief Minister and party toured the building to inspect the construction progress and gave necessary guidance where improvements were required.
In the morning, Chief Minister party also visited Pulone Tone Tone Village in Kawthaung Township to observe the ongoing population and housing census collection.
The Chief Minister and officials first paid respects to the Presiding Sayadaw of Yan Gyi Aung Monastic Education School in Pulone Tone Tone Village,supplicated religious affairs and donated offertories and cash donations.
Afterward, the officials visited houses in the village to observe the census collection being conducted along the village streets. The census enumerators from the Ministry of Immigration and Population and other related departments, as well as census takers, were using tablets to collect data based on 68 household questions and 18 institutional questions. The Chief Minister and officials engaged warmly with the local residents, offering words of encouragement.
