Pope Francis leads prayer for peace in Rome ahead of Israel/Hamas conflict anniversary

Pope Francis presided a Rosary for peace in the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Rome.

Surrounded by faithful and members of the diocese of Rome, the pontiff offers a heartfelt plea. He once again calls for an "immediate ceasefire" in the Middle East and urges the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas, ahead of the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel of October 7th 2023.
