Rehabilitation Measures: Paddy replanting and road repair works

The damaged paddy plantations have been replanted in Nay Pyi Taw Council area, with the assistance of the government.

On Sunday, the 16 acres monsoon paddy field near Kunchan Village of Lewe Township has replanted with the use of paddy planters, supported by the Agricultural Mechanization Department. Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U ThanTunOo visited the paddy field to oversee the paddy replanting process.

The Council Chairman instructed for drafting plans to expedite the land preparation, proper flow of water, availability of irrigated water and triple crop cultivation. On the same day, the Council Chairman inspected the repair works of damaged road along Pyinmana detour road, and gave instructions to the officials. The Road Department is undertaking the tasks with the use of heavy machinery.
