Commemorative Event: MOI observes the World Teachers’ Day

A commemorative ceremony to mark World Teacher’s Day which falls on 5th October was held at the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw on 4th October with the attendance of Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than.

The theme of the 2024 World Teacher’s Day is “Valuing teacher voices: Towards a new social contract for education”, encouraging to appreciate the voices of teachers in paving new social contract for education.

In his remarks, the Union Minister said that a total of 8 industrial schools across the nation are nurturing about 1,000 industrial skilled workers annually.

The Union Minister expressed his appreciation to all the faculty members for their exerted efforts in nurturing qualified students who can contribute the long-term sustainability of the ministry and its production sector.

Then, the Union Minister presented honorary gifts to the faculty members. The ceremony was concluded with the closing remarks of the Union Minister.
