Agriculture Development: Kachin State Chief Minister visits Nawngtalaw

In order to ensure food and edible oil sufficiency within the state, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan accompanied by state ministers and departmental officials made inspection on Nawngtalaw Mid-River Island in  WineMaw Township on 4th October.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister and party inspected the improved soil condition of the shore and coordinated requirements to grow oil crops and onion on the island. There, the Chief Minister heard reports on precaution measures due to potential water route changes in Ayeyawaday River and silt recovery project due to sand bank developed within Township area.

Then, the Chief Minister supplemented the reports and instructed on timely implementation of the projects. They also made inspection along Nawngtalawmid-river island to accelerate agricultural activities.
