Paper Reading Session: Efforts for development of legal processes

The 5th paper reading session of the Legal Research Team of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and regions/state senior legal officers from the High Courts was held at the Legal Advocacy Center of the Ministry on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo said that legal research processes play a pivotal role in providing legal services and suggestions for the development of legal sector.

Through the paper reading sessions, necessary legal research works can be implemented for long-term development of working processes and successful implementation of legal strategic plans of the Ministry, elevating legal knowledge of the officials and exchanging their experience.

For the development of legal research works, the Ministry is cooperating with local and international research organizations. The Union Minister added that organizing a paper reading session can assist legal knowledge dissemination and rule of laws as the Ministry is implementing for acceleration of legal knowledge dissemination in accordance with Providing Legal Service for Justice Strategic Plan (2019-2024).

During the paper reading session, 6 research papers from 6  Legal Research Team under the Ministry were read out. And, the paper reading session was concluded after delivering closing remark by theDeputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General.
