Cooperatives and rural development: MCRD UM made ground inspection tour in Shan State (South)

The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe together with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, State Government Ministers and officials made a ground inspection in regional development works and more success of oil crops cultivation in Shan State (South) on 3rd October.

First, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and party arrived at Cooperatives Accounting Vocational Training Center (Taunggyi) met with the personnal from the departments under the Ministry, personnel from Shan State (North), teachers and students of the training center and the instructors and trainees from Weaving and Vocational Traing Center (Taunggyi), gave necessary instructions and provided rice and cash assistance for the personnel from Shan State (North), cash of honor for the outstanding students from the training center and cash assistance for the teachers of the training center.

Next, the Union Minister and party inspected drilling artesian well in Sports and Physical Education College (Taunggyi) in Ayethaya of Taunggyi Township, heard the reports of the responsible officials and instructed to complete the works as quickly as possible in accordance with the set standards.

Consequently, Union Minister and party inspected the completion of upgrading road connected Heho-Baw Sai and Taung Myay Char-Myauk Myay Char Village in Kalaw Township, met with the local residents at makeshift briefing hall, heard the clarification of the head officer of State Rural Development Department, gave necessary instruction and coordinated requirements reported by the local residents.

After that, the Union Minister and party visited Tin Kyi Kyat Village of Kalaw Township, met with the Village Water Supply Committee members and local farmers, heard the clarification of the State Rural Development Department and coordinated requirements on the reports of the local farmers.

Then, the Union Minister provided 30 million Kyats of Emarald Village Project Revolving Fund and 15 million Kyats  of Village Development Project fund for Kyauk Saung Bilu Village and 15 million Kyats of financial assistance per Village to four villages including Nyaungpintha, Thayasu, Kyaung Nauk and Kan Daunt .

Next, the Union Minister and party met with the oil crop of sunflower cultivating farmers in Pye Hla Village of Pindaya Township of Danu Self-Administered Zone, heard the clarifications of the head officer of State Cooperatives Department and coordinated requirements.

Then, the Union Minister, State Ministers and Chairman of Leading Body of Danu Self-Administered Zone provided sunflower seeds, fertilizers, Russian foliar spray natural fertilizer to the cooperative members and local farmers and 15 million Kyats of VDP fund to Pwe Hla and Shauk Pin Village of Pindaya Township through the Village Committee members.

After that, the Union Minister viewed the “Mya KyaukNatural Green Tea” production and trading business in Taung Paw Gyi Village of Pindaya Township and coordinated on the report of the business owner.
