Providing business equipment: MGY CM provided business equipment in Minbu

Minbu District Small Scale Industries Department held a ceremony to handover business equipment to the training completed local residents initiated by Small Scale Industries Establishment and Rural Income Enhancement Project at the Minbu U Awbatha Hall in Minbu Township on 2nd October.

In his opening remarks, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin outlined the efforts of the government in developing MSME sector saying that a total of 16 projects have been implemented with the region fund during this financial year. By establishing small scale industries, socio-economic status of the rural population will be improved providing sufficient local job opportunities, he added. The Chief Minister also called for the concerted efforts of the entrepreneurs for the regional development. Then, the business equipment were provided to the trainees.

Durring 2024-2025, value-added food production technical training and sewing training courses were conducted for four times aiming to establish small scale industries within Minbu (Saku) Township and Pwint Phyu Township. Among 60 trainees, 20 outstanding trainees were selected and 1.4 million worth of business equipment were provided to each of them.
