Rehabilitation Works: Aftermath of inundation in Nay Pyi Taw

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo accompanied by concerned officials inspected the inundation areas of Ywathitgyi Village in Zeyyathiri Township on 2nd October and instructed for better drainage system and acceleration of silt and debris management.

Next, the Chairman and party inspected inundated conditions in Wegyi, Nyaungpin Gyi, Chaung Kan Gyi and SipinGyi villages within the township. They then donated cash and offertories to the Chaung Kan Gyi Monastery presiding sayadaw, gave words of comfort to the flood victims sheltering at the monastery and provided foodstuff.

On the same day, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and party inspected the construction of PanChaung Bailey Bridge on the road which connects to Nay Pyi Taw-Kintha-Koekwae-LainLi-PinLaung Road and restoration process of the road.

There, the Chairman instructed for the long-term resilience of the bridge, uninterrupted public access as well as to accelerate the debris clearing activities and provided foodstuff to the staff and workers.
