60th Anniversary of MPF Day: Rakhine State CM attended the occasion

The 60th Anniversary of Myanmar Police Force Day which falls on 1st October was observed at Khine Thazin Hall in Sittwe Township and attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Government members, Senior military officials from Sittwe station and officials concerdned. 

First, the Chief Minister gave an opening speech emphasising the history of MPF Day, duties and functions of MPF members, rescue and rehabilitation effort during and aftermath of Cyclone Mocha and  social service responsibilities performed by the MPF members, providing security during enumeration of 2024 Population and Housing Census etc.

After reading a message sent by the Chief of MPF, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of State High Court and officials awarded the certificate of honor and cash of honor to the MPF members who served excellent performance. After viewing the Video Clip on the MPF Day, documentary photo was taken and the exhibition booths were observed.

After that, the Chief Minister and party encouraged Census-taking in Pyitawtha ward in Sittwe Township. The census-taking teams also took the population and housing census dat at the residences of Chief Minister and State Ministers.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Government members, departmental officials attended the event of International Day of Older Persons observed at Khine Thazin Hall and the Chief Minister gave an opening speech on the event. Then, they provided cash and kinds for the older persons and cordially greeted them.
