China Marks 75th Anniversary with Flag-Raising at Tian’anmen Square

A grand flag-raising ceremony was held at Beijing’s Tian’anmen Square on Tuesday to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The event commenced with trumpet fanfares as 96 members of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Guard of Honor escorted the national flag into the square.

Thousands of spectators gathered from across the country to witness this National Day tradition, singing the national anthem while waving flags and displaying stickers of the national emblem. This year’s ceremony highlighted China’s enduring patriotism and the significance of its 75-year journey as a modern nation.
