Alms-food offering: Alms-food offered to mark 60th Anniversary of MPF Day

Alms-food offering to the members of Sangha was held at the Areindama Hall of Myanmar Police Force Headquarters to mark the 60th Anniversary of Myanmar Police Force Day on 30th September.

The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Deputy Minister Ma-J Gen. Toe Yi, Chief of Myanmar Police Force Police Lt-Gen Win Zaw Moe, permanent secretary, directors-general, Deputy Chiefs of Police Force, senior police officers and invited guests.

The Union Minister and congregation took five precepts from Presiding Sayadaw of MingalaZayyone Pali Takkatho Monastery of Pyinmana Township and Paritta Suttas recited by members of Sangha. Then, they donated the offertories to the Sangha, shared merits gained and offered early meals to the members of Sangha.

After that, Union Minister and party released 10,000 fingerlings of Rohu fish species into the No 3 Mingala Lake in Bawgatheiddhi Ward of Zabuthiri Township by the side of Pyinmana-TaungNyo Road in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Myanmar Police Force Day.Similarly, 2.847 million Kyats for the donation of one tical of pure gold to the Uppadasanti Pagoda and 1.1 million Kyats to the “Karuna Kabar” Home for the Aged in Dakkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw were donated, it’s learnt.
