Work Coordination Meeting: Rehabilitation activities in flood-hit areas

A work coordination meeting on rehabilitation activities in flood-hit areas within Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory was held at Nay Pyi Taw Council Office on 29th September.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to timely reopening of flood affected schools and clinics, recovery and management of silt and debris deposited along the roads to ensure better drainage system and uninterrupted public transportation, foodstuff and drinking water distribution for flood victims, systematized rescue measures and cash donation for the deceased flood victims’ families were discussed.

The meeting also focused on essential supplies provision for reconstruction of flood affected households, reinstallation of power lines, inundated farmlands restoration as well as providing necessary assistance in restoring normalcy in livestock breeding sector.
