Wang met UNSG at the sidelines of General Assembly

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York on Friday. Wang said that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the UN to advance the cause of world peace and development, make the Pact for the Future a reality, and create a better future for mankind.

Guterres thanked China for its long-standing support to the UN, especially the contribution to the success of the Summit of the Future. Noting that reaching the Pact for the Future is not easy, and impressive, Guterres hoped that all parties will translate their commitments into actions and work together for its implementation.
