Drug Seizure: Over 2.2 billion kyats worth stimulant tablets seized in Kyauk Phyu

A combined team from Tatmadaw (Navy) seized 1.478 million stimulant tablets worth over 2.2 billion kyats at Kyauk Phyu Township of Rakhine State, according to the report of Myanmar Police Force on Friday. The seizure was made on September 23rd along with the arrest of four suspects on a motorboat on the Rakhine Coast.

Further investigation revealed the arrest of two more suspects at the Seikkyi Khanaungto Jetty in Yangon Region on the 24th. The seized stimulant tablets are set to transport from Shan State to Pauk Taw Township in Rakhine State via Yangon. The case has been filed a lawsuit, and investigations are underway for further suspects.
