Tour in Nay Pyi Taw: Rehabilitation measures and investment committee meeting

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo on Thursday accompanied by departmental officials made inspection on cleaning works and repairing of roads and canals at flood hit areas in Pyinmana Township.

During the inspection at the Basic Education Schools, the Chairman made instructions on cleaning of classrooms for reopening of the schools, provided foodstuff and coordinated the requirement upon the reports of the officials.

The Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and party also inspected the damaged road section on Montekwin-Kyitaung-Khawma-Nyaung Pin Tha road near Zee Phyu Pin village in Pyinmana Township. After hearing the reports by the concerned officials, he gave necessary instructions on completion of repairing processes in timely manner, meeting set standard for the convenience of the locals.

They also inspected the repairing works on the embarkment of Paung Long Latt Yar main canal by Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and coordinated the requirement. At the flood relief camp opened at the monastery in Sin Thay village, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and party comforted the flood victims and provided foodstuff, clothes and meal boxes.

There, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw and donated offertories. On the same day, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman attended a meeting of Nay Pyi Taw Council Investment Committee at the hall of the council office.

In his remark, the Council Chairman called for expanding of existing local and international investments of the country. He also stressed the needs for promoting investment, approving more new investments within Nay Pyi Taw by collaborating with departmental personnels for the development of socio-economic life of the people.

After the discussions made by the attendees, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman made detailed discussion upon the reports and gave the concluding remarks.
