Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister tours in Kyaukse

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe made field inspection on the implementation of oil crop plantations and development works in Kyaukse Township of Mandalay Region on Thursday.

In meeting with oil crop farmers, the Union Minister coordinated the needs and provided sunflower seeds and inputs for over 1,300 farmers to engage cultivation on more than 4,400 acres farmland.

The Union Minister and party later inspected upgrading of Kyaukse-NgyetTaung Road, monsoon cotton plantations on 984 acres and concrete paving of the village roads in Than MandTalin Village.

During the visit, the Union Minister attended a ceremony to provide business equipment to the trainees of Sewing Course as part of the program for creating job opportunity and income generation for rural families. Among the trainees, five outstanding individuals who are going to engage in the business were provided with the assistance.
