Committee Meeting: National Accreditation and Quality Assurance

Myanmar National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Committee held its first meeting on quality assurance in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday with the attendance of Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, Deputy Ministers, concerned officials and invited guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister stressed to all universities in Myanmar to gain accreditation in ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) in both program level and institutional level. The Union Minister also said to modernize the curriculums of program level with requirement of the observers as well as to meet market demand.

In the Institutional level, efforts are being made to meet the standard in administration, management, educational process and constitutions. Next, Deputy Minister Dr. ZawMyint said AUN-QA Guideline will be published in both Myanmar and English versions and with the help of this guideline, workshop, seminars and training courses must be conducted. Then, the meeting was carried on and future working plans were adopted.
