






Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony of 2024 Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Sports Competition held at ZeyathiriTatmadaw Sports Ground in Nay Pyi Taw on 25th September.
The ceremony was opened by cutting of ceremonial ribbons. Then, the Senior General took the salute of Flag troupe and the athletes. In his opening remarks, the Senior General outlined the purpose of the competition stressing that the development of nation’s sports sector directly reflects the human resource development, enhancing both physical and mental capacity of the citizens.
As the competition is organized upholding the social objective of the nation aiming to enhance health and sports sectors inclusive of all the people and the longevity and health of the entire nation, the Senior General urged the athletes to make exerted efforts showcasing sportsmanship during the competition to bring prestige to their respective commands and nation.
Then, the Senior General and party enjoyed the Second Round Playoffs of the Commander-in-Chief ’s Trophy (Army, Navy and Air) Football Tournament at which the Commander in Chief (Army) Office Team beat Nay Pyi Taw Command Team with 4-0.
The 2024 Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Sports Competition comprises men’s and women’s competition for football, Karatedo, track and field, Myanmar martial art, Lethwei, volleyball, judo, golf, Taekwondo, SepakTakraw and boxing is scheduled to take place till the 11th October.
